It’s Metallica. Not even close. Now that doesn’t mean that Megadeth wasn’t important. Slayer and Anthrax also deserve honorable mention as they make up the big four of 80’s thrash metal. But Metallica is one of the biggest bands in the world and became that after they had taken over the Metal landscape.
