Agitation is the agent of change. When we’re comfortable we don’t move, we just sit there, mostly. So we need that prick in the butt or pinch on the back of the arm. I mean that metaphorically – or maybe literally. Who knows. Seems I’m something of a man of mystery.
I’ve spent a lot of time answering questions this past week about Minimalist Workouts and the recurring theme is whether or not this is different from my other programs. Short answer: It is hugely different.
What I’ve found is a good program isn’t worth much without a way to get people motivated. I’ve always known this, but didn’t have a great way to solve it outside of coaching.
But then in hit me. What if I gave a weekly, tough love pep talk – like what I say to many of my clients, only to everybody?
It isn’t always happy. Sometimes it’s really agitating. But it will get you to reconsider your decisions and take action in a positive direction. It’s that pinch on the back of the arm.
These “Pep Talks” come in cool, formatted documents with workouts attached, so you can print them out and make a deck out of them. One idea I have for members is to shuffle them around and pull a workout at random. It keeps it exciting.
Another apparent problem is not everyone has time to commit to a full program. Pocket Sized Programming is great for people who are ready to go “all in”. Minimalist Workouts is for those who simply need quick, effective workouts – ways to burn a lot of calories in little time.
Does that make sense? I probably could have done a better job explaining this at the start.
Lastly, boredom. People get tired of doing the same things over and over. I get that. So, I’ve made variety a key ingredient in Minimalist Workouts. Unless you want to, you’ll never be doing the same workout twice.
This way you’ll remain challenged and engaged.
My Gift to You
I’ve put a sample of Minimalist Workouts below, so you can get an idea of what you’d be getting each and every week as a member. This is yours to keep and there’s no obligation to join. (I would love it if you joined.)
