Building muscle is a process and it takes time but with the right principles you can do it even with kettlebells. I say “even with kettlebells” but seeing how most of my muscle has been built using kettlebells I would say the point I am trying to make is that it has more to do with principles than it does any one particular tool. Like how the kettlebell is a tool and how I am too, for example–it doesn’t matter who or what the tool is. It’s about principles, you see.
So the two principles you want to follow in order to build muscle with kettlebells are: 1) focus on being strong, first and 2) front squats, and clean and press (in other words, get good at the big lifts). There are a few other tidbits here and there (which I talk about in the video) but that really the gist of it. So if you do nothing else but focus on being as strong as you can and adding more weight to your workouts, you will gain muscle.
But now let’s go over what that plan would actually look like…
