New eBook: Introduction to Kettlebells – Just $1 on Amazon!
Recently, I wrote a short (read: 30 pages) eBook called Introduction to Kettlebells, which is now available on Amazon for a whopping — brace yourself! — $1.
You can snag it here ==> https://amzn.to/2HgwJgO
Short story: Introduction to Kettlebells is a quick and dirty reference guide to the core single kettlebell techniques — exercises like the swing, snatch, clean, get up, squat, etc — and a simple, 7-day training cycle for getting strong and tough.
Inside the eBook are instructional pointers, pictures of each technique, and links to video tutorials. Finally, a simple and straightforward collection of workouts for improving general physical preparedness with just one kettlebell.
While this eBook is aimed at beginners, I think even veterans will get something out of it, since it’s always good to brush up on technique and return to basics.

Good afternoon gents,
I have a question about protein for performance vs longevity. You both stress the importance of protein intake, particularly for body composition (lean mass gain and/or fat loss), and suggest eating ~1 g protein per pound of body weight daily. However, Valter Longo emphasizes low protein intake for longevity (0.31 to 0.36 grams per pound of body weight, if you’re under 65 years old) due to accelerated aging and increased cancer risk from high protein intake. But body composition is undoubtedly important for longevity, so how do I reconcile these competing recommendations? Does it depend on current goals? Should higher protein only be used short term, until body comp goals are reached and then revert to lower protein? Should protein intake be cycled or pulsed? Would a low-protein fat-loss strategy be better for longevity? Does animal vs. plant protein make a difference (Longo emphasizes the latter)? For what it’s worth I’m 40 years old, moderately active but carrying too much fat around the middle, and want to live forever. Thanks for all you do, I love the show.
I came for Dan John and I stayed for some of the philosophy and theology. Pat and Dan or Dan and Pat are two of the best people to listen to on physical training on the inter-webs out there. I would listen to either one of them alone but the two of them are great together. Their view of training and the world is not one dimensional but ties things together. It is real life for real people.
Thank you, Louane, that means a lot!
