I am looking to build up my strength Pat so I’m glad I listened to this. I might have decreased calories when I was strength training but I won’t now. Excellent questions by your listeners and they mirrored some of mine. Heavier low-rep sets vs. less heavy higher-rep sets has always been confusing for me. Myself, I just want a generally bigger factory (excellent analogy) so again, thanks for the good information. You’re so right about practicing on the fundamentals of whatever sport you’re doing. When I studied martial arts, I spent a lot of time training every day and it was amazing how embedded it became in my mind and body (Wish I’d kept it up though although I still remember some of it). Best way to lose fat? I’m going to check out that podcast Pat because nutrition is key. I like the idea of strategic meal replacements because I’m always on the go and I am bad about sitting down to cook for myself. As you said, the extra work that goes into healthy meals can be an obstacle for people. It’s an obstacle for me and I know it’s a big obstacle for a lot of people. Just for your reference, I too will take a Dairy Queen Blizzard over the steamed broccoli every day. In terms of strategic meal replacements, I think the biggest obstacle for me is finding a protein powder that doesn’t taste weird. I can’t have anything that has artificial flavoring or sugar substitutes. Any suggestions as to products? I find protein shakes to be a great meal replacement and I like throwing in bananas. If I could do two meals a day and one or two shakes, I’d be good.

I truly enjoy listening to your podcasts, I actually enjoy Q and A segments because sometimes I would have similar questions with those who raised the question. Love how you share your advice because you have your own personal take on it, and have read on it and can vouch for what you share. Haha! I think the fat burning got the most hits because it’s on trend, I definitely love the theology segments though. Pat, I don’t need to ask you why are you so awesome! We already know you are. Keep the fire burning, Pat! Definitely did find it helpful. Looking forward to the next one and have a wonderful week as well. 🙂
