How to Be Better – Plain and Simple
Despite the somewhat sarcastic titling, this is an important episode, since Pat discusses why it’s often necessary to let go of progress in certain, specific areas to advance overall as a human person.

Always wondered where do you get all the nuggets of wisdom you share to us? It’s amazing, refreshing and really helpful. Happy to be an avid follower, Pat. I personally like the idea of being a generalist — I remembered when you were improving on your guitar skills, it was the first time I figured “Wow Pat, you really do put your head and efforts into what you want or want to improve on.” It truly takes a lot of discipline to be excellent in what you do and sometimes sacrificing other things as well. Thank you again for the learnings and insights. Looking forward to your book, Pat!

I’ve noticed through the years that generalists can be some of the most successful people in life. I’ve been reading your blogs and listening to your podcasts for some time. Life is a long game so you need to allocate your resources wisely, and I think you stress this throughout your body of work. I’ve had a true revelation when it comes to the idea of being a generalist thanks to your podcasts Pat. I hope you continue producing these blogs and podcasts and I can’t wait to read your book!
