The C.S. Lewis-like presentation of the nature of hell from Dr. Taylor Patrick O’Neill is certainly more palatable than some. It seems that salvation can be simply the prevention of individuals from annihilating themselves, and quite far from the beatific vision of heaven. If this is true then hell would be included within the parameters of universal salvation, assuming that this hell still meets the desires of its inhabitants regardless of how demented they may be. Ultimately there could only be the delusion of separation from God. Without God one ceases to exist, and the eternal sustenance of existence could perceivably be the limits of salvation. I am a strong universalist and I could except all the above notions if the beatific vision is never finally barred from postmortem possibility, My understanding is that Love is infinitely patient and eternally present. Love is authentic Simplicity itself.

Ken,
That’s an interesting thought on the possible correspondence between views. Have you listened to my conversation with Dr. Torres yet?
