We’re back again with another Fat Funeral conqueror. As always, I’m thrilled and awed. Not everyone makes it through those tough two weeks, but for people like Alejandro, the results are seriously impressive.
So today, I’d like to highlight Alejandro and his success. He lost 10 pounds during the Fat Funeral. Awesome sauce!

I managed to drop 10 whole pounds, back to my target weight of 160lbs, going to go check out my fat % later but I hope I see some progress there.
Overall the experience was hard, I was hungry 90% of the time but near the last few days managed to deal with it a bit better (I’m not 100% sure but having had a stressful work week it was harder to not be cranky when hungry)
I did notice that I slept a whole better these past 2 weeks than I had in a long time, and getting up was not hard, plus I had more energy than I thought I would have (on the days after the 10,000 steps goal I felt I could go for hours working out).
I also liked the habit of tracking what I eat, I figure carrying this over as well as the shake meal replacement for certain meals should help keep off the weight without losing muscle.
I was grateful for the 10,000 step day before the snatch test though, as I thought my legs would collapse from the workouts the 3 days prior.
Another high point is I managed to get 100 unbroken swings done for the first time in a long time. Now that I dropped the weight I am also really happy that I can get pull ups done again, I’ll be working to progress these now.
Thanks!
-Alejandro
