- Mass was beautiful down here at St. Mary’s Basilica in Old City. We arrived twenty five minutes early and there was standing room only. Some people might see this as an inconvenience. I could only help but see it as a celebration.
- Also: In his homily, the priest said a child in the first grade just one day up and realized, “Wait, Jesus is God? That changes everything!” (Essentially the same as my reaction, only it took me much longer to figure that out.)
- Existence is beautiful. I am overwhelmed with gratitude.

- Next Christmas Christine and I are severely overhauling the tradition. Our families tend to overload our kids with gifts. This is all well and fine, but not really in line with what we want to focus on.
