New eBook: Introduction to Kettlebells – Just $1 on Amazon!
Recently, I wrote a short (read: 30 pages) eBook called Introduction to Kettlebells, which is now available on Amazon for a whopping — brace yourself! — $1.
You can snag it here ==> https://amzn.to/2HgwJgO
Short story: Introduction to Kettlebells is a quick and dirty reference guide to the core single kettlebell techniques — exercises like the swing, snatch, clean, get up, squat, etc — and a simple, 7-day training cycle for getting strong and tough.
Inside the eBook are instructional pointers, pictures of each technique, and links to video tutorials. Finally, a simple and straightforward collection of workouts for improving general physical preparedness with just one kettlebell.
While this eBook is aimed at beginners, I think even veterans will get something out of it, since it’s always good to brush up on technique and return to basics.

I dropped a comment during the show about switching up my Army ACFT workouts to an EMOM style – making Parkinson’s law work FOR me vs against me. It’s shaved almost 30 min off my B day lifts & I’m getting -more- total load in. Sounded like there was confusion as to how it was EMOM:
It flows like this:
10rep bench press – rest to top of minute
50m sled drag (125lb) – rest to top of minute
10 hanging knee tucks – rest to top of minute
Repeat for 5 rounds
1minute recovery
15 v-ups w/ 15lb med-ball – rest to top of minute
20x40lb KB swings – rest to top of minute
50m farmer carry with 2x40lb KB – – rest to top of minute
repeat for 5 rounds
It’s about 30sec of work, 30 sec of rest on average, although by round 5 I’m slowing a little and it’s more like 35″ work, 25″ rest.
I’m going to set up a similar routine for my A day (legs, snatches & pushups) today. I recently scored a 591 on the test with our unit, I’m 51 and maxed it all except the ball toss. I’m working on it per Dan – PRACTICE!
Thanks for all you do, love the variety of information on your shows!
